Due to recent changes in our organization, we are being required to collect sales tax on purchases from non-tax exempt customers in the states of Florida and Tennessee. This change was effective Jul 27, 2016 and has resulted in changes in the online store.
Initially, all Florida and Tennessee chapters have been placed into a non-tax exempt group in the store in order to collect sales tax from online transactions. The chapters will be moved to a tax exempt group (and have no sales tax collected) as they provide the National Merchandise Director with a copy of each church’s Tax Exempt Certification.
As always, this is a new process and we’ll have to work out any kinks in the process. Please let me know if you have any problems or questions related to this new process.
